Like most handmade products, our rugs require regular maintenance to ensure they have a long life.
This includes regular cleaning with a vacuum cleaner with a regular brushless nozzle. We recommend vacuuming along the slope of the pile to avoid damaging the soft wool.
Since all of our rugs are made of high quality wool, one of the best ways to refresh your rug is to hang it outside on a sunny day in the wind, if possible.
In the case of localized dirt, you should remove the stain immediately with a damp towel and warm soapy water, without the addition of chemicals. Our carpets are dyed with natural dyes, chemicals can "wash out" the paint, ordinary mild soap is ideal. Do not let the stain dry. Gently, without rubbing, remove the stain.
Always test the durability of the stain in advance by testing on a small area.
You can take your rug to a professional carpet cleaner who specializes in handmade rugs, it should only be done outside of your home - avoid "in-house" services. Talk to them about the finer points beforehand.
